Odd Mercedes auctions on e-bay

This one is a " 500SEL " , but it is the shorter wheelbase and it has a 6-cylinder engine. I am guessing a " 280SE " ?

This one has a "buy it now" of $3500. A LITTLE rough it seems. Price a little steep?

That car is a 280SE. The dummy rebadged it and misrepresents it.

It sure is a 280SE. With a 'vin' like 126022 and an obvious M110 6 cyl, it's no 500SEL.

I also hate it when they misrepresent information. I saw an ad ont he Autotrader for a 1989 300TE wagon. the wagon, with a gas engine, was advertised as a "powerful turbo model." Just for kicks, I called the guy. He said he knew it was a turbo because the T in TE meant that it was a "turbo E series" Benz.

I asked him to check for a turbo charger under the hood and he said he had and indeed it had a turbocharger. The "oblong black thing" on top of the right side of the engine was the turbocharger....I told him that was the air cleaner housing - he hung up on me. :wtf:
