Save a 81 240d 4 speed? Saratoga springs, NY

I've been talking with someone I met on a car audio forum... We got to talking about cars, and he works next to New Country Toyota, in NY. They've got a 81 240 sitting in the back, with a fuel leak, and a flat tire. Its a 4 speed, but I dont know if the trans is good... Engine apparently runs, but theres a massive fuel leak. He said its pretty rusty, and the drivers seat is cut up... Other seats are OK, and its got a manual sun roof, that appartly works ok.

I'm not sure if anybody would be intereasted, but he said that if he was allowed to buy it, he could get it for $200 from an employee. Should be <500 for it.

Post away with questions, we both hope someoen can save it, or at least use it for a parts car...
He cant spend a ton of time taking pictures or working on it, but if somebody wants to take a look at it, that should be allright.

Thanks for listening, I hope it goes to good use
~Nate

he thinks its destiny is to either sit and rot indefenetly, or go off to the crusher

Someone should want a 500 or less parts car, right?
I dont know the condition its in, but is should be worth more then that, right?

Post this in the Cars and/or Parts for sale forums... the manual tranny and setup ought to be worth $500 to someone somewhere!
