Amazon.com: Golden Malrin Fly Bait: Sports & Outdoors

It's sold as fly bait, but it's used to kill just about any critter that drinks the coke/Golden Malrin mix.

Really dangerous stuff for any loose animal. Fortunately, I nailed the 'coon on the first night.

Laying on the couch watching Madagascar with my little buddy. Eating way too many Tollhouse chocolate chip cookies. Him, a chocolate milk, and me, a second mug of mostly Bailey's with a shot of coffee.

I got all my weekend household chores done last night. Going to a gallery opening for Chuck Close tomorrow night. He's my art hero. After enquiring about the price range of his work, I will only be looking, not buying . . .

Reeling from the first week of a new assignment at work (an addition, not a change  ).

Found out last Friday that I was taking over a team of 18 engineers covering Ops Engineering support for products that represent ~ 1/3 of my division's revenue. And 8 of those engineers hit their termination date in 6 weeks.

Guy who had been managing the team has his last day today, and the brain dump I've pulled outta his head over the past week has revealed that the he's been hiding behind a smokescreen. He's been able to create the illusion that he's pulled his team along with the massive reorg/new process changes our shared boss has lead over the past 18 months.

Ain't squat been done. And what has been done is entirely dependent on individuals remembering the new rules - no processes defined, nothing written down.

And - by the way: I ain't an engineer :P

This is gonna be...... interesting.

Oh yeah - also getting ready for an invasion at The Big Yellow House tomorrow. Anticipating somewhere between 15 and 30 people for dinner. Woot!

Swapping out Nitrogen tank (200#) units at the Colfax site, changed out a filament meter that *hit the bed about 4 weeks ago...unit FINALLY arrived this past Monday after the company UPS'd the thing to the site (where nobody lives) and it finally was redirected to the Eau Claire office where it sat 'til somebody decided to tell me it was there. So, I've got a little calculating to do to make sure I'm back "on time" with the new meter in and an idea what time has truly transpired to add to the working meter.

Fun and games.

Once I get the tanks tired down on the trailer, I'm gettin' outa' Dodge before the crack of dawn...

The invasion of the "Orange-Clad Transplants" will be occurring 'til the Sunday dusk following T-Day.

Hopefully, no numbnutz uses my transmission line for target practice...

Spent the last week and a half jumping through hoops for the ****ing mortgage underwriter..... G** D**n Patriot Act needs to be repealed, and those responsible strung up from the highest branch... I'd like to leave the lower branches for mortgage brokers, because I want to see their faces...

But... finally got the clear to close, so tonight it's a couple tasty homebrews and a continuation of packing all the non essentials.

Girl friend's office Christmas party tomorrow night. Woohoo! I look forward to it all year long. They really have quite a major blow out. I'm spending most of the day today and tomorrow making the rest of my Christmas gifts.

Have a great weekend, everybody!

Have a "safe one" at the GF's party tomorrow Dee8go!!

I have one tomorrow night...

But...during the day, I'll be helping clean out the LCRP's office. Everything that can't fit in someone's home will be buried in one of my storage lockers 'til springtime (I hope! KOW!).

Gotta' post a few, then hit the road for da' Nort' woods to check up on the diesel generator install goin' on at my transmitter site.

Got cameras installed for security purposes and everything is getting the final "proofing" before we do our switchover this coming week.

Then next weekend....OOF DA!!!

Details forthcoming...

 Drive safely everyone!!! No one else does!!!

I'm the designated driver tonight. My plan is to make sure she drinks enough and I get laid . . . .

She called me this afternoon and said, "I need you." I was touched. I said, "Oh, I need you too, baby!"

She said, "No, I mean I need you to come over and unlock my door. I locked myself out of the house."

Crap! Another faux "tender moment" . . . .
