Bored. Too cold to work in the garage or yard. So I decided to "pimp my closet".

Painting right now. This will be a budget effort, but I want the results to be such that i would be proud to show it off to friends!

Sounds like a fun “in out of the weather” thing to be doing.

Nothing like a crash course in “sectional-ology” !!
‘cept if I had to do it with Martha…the only thing crashing would be a brick through the TV screen.

BTW – With regards to the DC-6 dream:
We’re pretty tight with Bob Everts and Marty Hall of Everts Air Cargo and Tatonduk Outfitters Limited out of Fairbanks. Everts is the owner. Hall is the FAA Designated Engineering Representative (DER) for the DC-3/C-46/C-47 and DC-6/C-118 aircraft, and known the world over. They have a pretty nice thing going on up there with DC-6s.
Get a little further along with your flying, and we’ll see about that dream coming true.

Finished sanding the East wing hall floors.Have to "tack" 'em up with a rag soaked with mineral spirits before I lay down the Poly.

Now I'm practicing my Arban exercises in prep for a gig this weekend.

As in Brass Bible Verses ?

If so – Have fun !!

I think I’d rather watch Martha King vids…..

......well….maybe not.

Hi, Carleton. What are "Arban exercises?"

As I recall….

If you’re a brass instrument player… they are something that will wear your ass out.

Yeah, but it's good to keep your chops in shape, even if only twice a week.

Easy gig, muted trumpet with piano, bass and traps, hell, any high-schooler could do the same.

Have you looked into The Ninety-Nines, yet ???

They have a Future Woman Pilot Program that is certainly worth checking out.

Aviation, on any level, is really all about who you know. The more time you spend hanging out with those in the industry (Not just the business side, but the fun recreational side as well.), the more doors start to open. Chat with a few 99’s over a beer or two, and you’ll be pleasantly surprised at what you can find out about things you can get into right in your own backyard.

We can’t tell you how many times we’ve heard someone saying something like: “So, the other day I was chatting with this gal that turns out to be a _____ owner/pilot. It sounded pretty cool. She invites me over to check it out, and winds up taking me up for a ride…..just awesome.”
And it’s not just the gals in aviation, it’s the same with everyone.

Remember the line: “Wow, I’d like to check that out some time.”
And, NEVER EVER say no.

The only time I'd say no, is if there is chance I'll catch something....Rumor has it the glass cockpit is coming back but my instructor says I fly the "Tuna Can" better.....i guess I'm just an analog queen.

Well, I think we’ve touched on this one before.

I’ve got some issues with student (Pvt) pilots learning to fly with glass cockpits.

I’m glad to hear you’re an “Analog Queen”. :D
