We had our board meeting this morning, usually the 2nd Tuesday but everyone was so busy we just left it open and had a 1/2 hour while the clouds took over. Given how rough some people are having it in the current economy I feel kinda bad, but we're two weeks away from our best 1st half we've ever had (due to seasonality our FY ends Sept. 30). Lotsa home gardening and DIY lawn care going on to save some money I'd imagine. Weather is generally more of an influence on us than the economy but it does seem to be having an effect.
Maybe the running around like crazy will pay off. We've still got 6 months to go and it could easily go in the $hitter from here on out. T-minus 15 minutes and counting until beer and pizza night begins... |
Roger that one T-minus 45 minutes until "Cocktail Thirty."

Well you know, I just got this new Digi Cam. And I have been messing around with it
You know, there are ALWAYS more fish in the sea.
I always say that. I am the Jacques Costreau of dating!!!!! hahahahaha I told you guys I got a new camera. Look who I found just right here, where I live. Her name is Nicole...a real cutie... And she is VERY shy. Probably likes to eat too many e- clairs, but wow, is she a little hottie!! I love those Latinas, can't help it. I took this last night after I talked to her http://i248.photobucket.com/albums/g...ssmokinhot.jpg |
Yep...it's that day again...
What's driviing us to cocktail-o'thirty today? I've got a somewhat full plate for the next 48 hours... Meeting the electrician (no knives in toasters here!) to finish the prep work at my transmitter site...new transmitter is coming tomorrow morning at 0900... Meeting the delivery truck for the 7,000# forklift for tomorrow's job..."Fun with levers" action for a few hours today...crushing large, empty containers of wood and metal...ARGGGG!!!! MAN-STUFF!!!! Cleaning up the site before the arrival of the new transmitter.... A conference call - 1 hour waiting to state my 40-word diatribe about how everything is going...B O R I N G ! Then - at 1700 - Friday Night - UNDER THE LIGHTS - WISCONSI-I-I-I-I-I-I-I-N R-R-R-R-R-R-R-UMBL-L-L-L-L-L-L-L-E! Yep, until midnight tonight, security detail at the La Crosse Center with the badest of the, well, er...locals! Wisconsin Rumble...where locals beat the hell out of each other in their own weight classes...3 rounds, 1 minute each, man-vs.-man, woman-vs.-woman - with tonight's winners coming back tomorrow to pair up and take down their opponent until there's ONLY ONE LEFT STANDING (in their own weight division, of course). Sheesh! Then tomorrow, meet, unload and unpack a new transmitter...then the "Rumble" at 1700 'til midnight again... :tt2: Oh, and that earthquake in IL./IN. this morning? Keep us posted on the "buzz" that's bringing up at the water-coolers today...I'm sure there will be a lot of "will updating" - eh? . |
Space....Then on to wiring issues.
It’s a beautiful day for flying, regardless of the windy conditions.
But alas, I shall be up to my eyeballs in astrophysics studies. Then trying to track down a serious short in our Sooner horse trailer wiring that caused the plug to melt into the truck jack overnight and render the battery beyond dead.  First time I’ve ever needed a hammer to unplug a trailer. :( |

I hope this beautiful weather holds out for two more days. Tomorrow WE are changing the oil and repairing a coolant leak in Maxine the Wonder Benz. Sunday if all goes well----my solo act maybe...

Tomorrow is the Celebration Carshow/Concourse De'Elegance I'm going for the Delorean Club of Florida.. after the show we are all going out to dinner.. woot |

T.G.I.F. and P.O.E.T.S.
Pretty good week except for the big hailstorm. Next week will be brutal though: DFW to San Francisco to San Diego to Denver to Miami to Newark to DFW |
I took the day off and drove into Culver City with an old friend for a pastrami sandwich at Johnnie's Pastrami. They've been in business since 1952 selling pastrami sandwich's...absolutely the best pastrami sandwich you'll ever have.
After an afternoon nap, I mowed the front and back lawns. My wife got home from the Japanese school, and made Shabu Shabu, and we're drinking the last of the beer in the fridge: one bottle of Asahi super dry, and one bottle of Grolsch. |
I just got home about 15 minutes ago...there's lightning off to the west and I'm seriously thinking about opening the front door...just so that the storm door glass is the only thing between me and the rain - open all the windows and let the storm pass through...I'll be just laying on the couch with a pair of boxers/shorts on and wrapped in a comforter (sp?) and just listen to the rain hitting the roof...
Ahhhhhhhh....... I hope I don't get any calls.... . |
