Congrats to the little one Dee8go! Ahhhh...High School....sooooomanyyyyyyyearssssssago........LOL!

This is suppose to be our 35th anniversary...but no one's in the mood to plan so it probably isn't happening this year...maybe in another 5. More time to wrinkle properly I guess...

Got through our storms last night without a hitch...both stations managed to stay on through it all...now, just waiting on what's coming in from the West today.

Had the 450SLC out yesterday for about 300+ miles and she ran just fine...got about 16.4mpgs out of her. Noticed a LOT of cars on I-94 heading to Minneapolis for the "Back To The 50s" weekend...lots of customized rods and such...beautiful cars...getting the crap shook out 'em by the right lane in some of the counties we were driving through...I noticed, after a few miles, those rides were switching over to the left lanes due to the smoothness over there vs. the "speed bumps" in the right lane. One guy threw "sparks" when he hit one...he was over to the left side in a heart-beat after that! I hope he sends a "nasty-gram" (and the bill) to our beloved leader, Boobenor "Diamond Jim" Doyle.

Anyways, you guys and gals have a fine weekend...and hopefully, stay as dry as you can during the day and may you only have overnight, light, sprinkles that will clear up by sun-up!

Isn't chocolate the women's Nirvana? :D

Thanks Mark! :D:D

I'm taking my DSLR. I wish I had the 50mm f/1.8D AF Nikkor lens, but I'll have to make it work with my 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6 GII ED AF-S and 55-200mm 1:4-5.6 G ED AF-S lenses.

I know it's Wednesday, but I wanted to post a couple pics from Hershey.

It was REALLY hot but we still had a great time.

Here's a view of the Hotel Hershey:

Here's my kids riding the helicopter ride at Hershey Park:

I didn't end up finding the chocolate soup, but I discovered that it's most likely sold at one of the restaurants in the Hershey Lodge. Maybe I'll get it next time.:)

The kids enjoyed themselves at the park, but had more fun in the swimming pool at the hotel.:D

Yaaaay! It's Fri-deee again and monday is a holiday to boot. Have a great weekend, all.

Technically it's Saturday, but Monday is a holiday (woot!), so it's kinda like Friday today, right?

Heading out momentarily to see Gipsy Kings at Wolf Trap. Darling Wife has prepared a most yummy looking picnic back pack, complete with a bottle of sangria. Except for being way dry, weather is perfect for an evening of dancing under the stars!

* WOOHOO! A Bigger Payday! *

Happy Friday kiddies!!!!

After last week's 5 days of checking IDs and slinging pubes and drunks "Outta' here!!" - I might just enjoy this weekend...since Saturday night and all day Sunday through this past Wednesday had the odor and feel of a pack of wet dogs...but it managed to stop JUST ENOUGH to allow the pyros to light of a gazzillion pounds of rockets and bombs to light up the river and surrounding areas for over a 1/2 hour last Sunday.

This weekend (well, maybe later this morning), I might sneak off to Iola, WI. for their umpteeth-to-the-power-of-a-3rd Annual Car Show...sort' of a big thing in the upper Midwest...or maybe not.

Half of our local car club (Coullee Classics Unlimited) have disappeared towards Iola and I think I just might join them.

No kids to drag along, listen to, baby-sit or feed, water or bed-down...no wife to re-direct my interests to her's and her wants...

Hummmm...maybe I'll nap for a bit and head out by 0600...and call in sick.

BTW...just found out that this being payday and all...I have a 5% surprise in the old envelope. Seems we (as a Company) did pretty well against all odds...both financial as well as political. Maybe I can find a few items for the 280E or 450SLC...or better yet...enjoy the sunshine and take mass quanities of photographs and dream of cars yet to be obtained...

( It might be a little cheaper that way! )

I got home from my business trip to Cinnci 10:30 this morning and the kids already have me ready for a vacation. :o I need a beer!

ramonajim 07-09-2010 01:37 PM

At work, finishing up my performance review for the past year (I hate writing these things!). Heading over to Joanie's tonight for a Happy Birthday Ma, Wish You Were Here party. No clue what'll go on in between, other than it'll likely involve the zoo and Darling Wife :P

Dee8go 07-09-2010 05:17 PM

Baking in Charleston, SC today . . . I love it here, though, in spite of the heat. The CLS was a dream driving down here. What a car!

Week's gone by...

How's everyone? ;)

I made it through but I was really wondering. Tough arsed week for me. First full week back after 6 months of recovery from medical problems. 108 Thursday with 48% humidity! Dayumm, it was miserable!

Sold the house I bought on the 24th of June so that's one less worry on me.

Looking to get some restoration done on my W126, some much needed yard maintenance on MY house and the wife says, "The air conditioning WILL be turned on Saturday morning". Sigh, hello $300 electric bills.

You're lucky you don't live with me. The air conditioning will NOT be turned off. NEVER EVER. I'll probably be going to eyeball a 560SEL I've become curious about while the wifes out of town for the weekend. Then I'll be doing my own yard work in 110 plus degrees. Fun times :D
