Do you know if the crown moulding is plaster? How tall are the ceilings? The wall paper is beautiful.

10ft on the first floor,9ft on the 2nd.

The mouldings are a mixture of southern yellow pine and red gum.

You in Cutchogue,Jamesport,Greenport?

Tall ceilings make it feel more spacious

My ceilings on the first floor are 8' 4" and about 8' on the second floor. I wish I had taller ceilings.

As I posted above (while you were writing) I am in Mattituck, but I am in Southampton at work until 2PM. Two Saturdays a month.

Hey,what are those inset panels?sponge painted or Marlite sheets?

And where in hell's the Telecaster???

Inset panels were painted the same color as the rest of the walls. The effect was done by rag rolling black glaze over the grey basecoat. Surprisingly easy.

Sorry...no Tele. I'd have a LesPaul if I DID play electric though. That's my 5-string Raven bass in the pic...left handed too.

You do nice work, G. Your studio looks great. How's the sound quality in there now?

Haven't put in and bass traps or acoustical panels yet. Just admiring the effort for now.

As Mortisha Adams would say :"It's a fine day for a rain storm." I am picking up Maxine the Wonder Benz today after her week at "Spa Silver Star," and what better weather conditions to test out those new brakes, front end and tires but slick rain soaked highways whoooohoooooo!!!!!! I wonder if the BBQ is still on at Heffs this weeekend, I have to stop by the Beverage Emporium and stock up on good German Beer, Melontini Mix and Manhattans.... well it's off to work I go, my project for the day is to re-arrange the deck chairs on the Titanic.....

OMG- Is that a belt- driven turn table with a sapphire needle I spy in the corner along with a speed graphlex (sp) or Rolicord twin lense camera in the corner too? Your like the kid next door with the best toys.....Nice Escher touch with the photo of yourself in the convex mirror....yeah I noticed.

Looks to me like an Empire 508... Carleton?

Now that my studio is finally finished, I'm actually working on other worthy projects.

My daughter's PC is under construction. I beefed up her ailing 666Mhz box with a motherboard upgrade, a 3.2 Ghz Pentium 4 chip, 512 MB RAM, and a new power supply. Currently installing software as we speak.

The new machine SCREAMS!

I plan on building a new one for the wife as well. But not until I paint HER office (here we go again)! :silly:

I finally got mine back Wed. My guy put the wrong relay in it and delayed the fix over the weekend. He made up for it by doing a freebie evac and recharge of the a/c (I don't think it needed it, but he said the ACC was several degrees off) and giving it a full detail.

My parents are in town and dad and I are teeing off in about 45 mins and we all are going to a Viking Cooking school class later:cool: Meanwhile, 8 in. of rain in Richmond.......

t walgamuth 09-01-2006 08:10 AM

several of my kids are coming in for the weekend.

saturday i am going up to auburn indiana for the big fall auction.

thousands of interesting cars for sale. there is usually some duesenbergs on display too and other high end classics. and of course flea market and car corrall.

and of course dont forget the elephant ears. (ugh)

automotive art too.

it is usually brutally hot but this year it may be pretty cool and a little rainey.

Great Morning 65 degrees! Had to take the beemer with the top down - weekend weather here is going to be fantastic. No real plans for the holiday took a couple days off this week to use up some annual vacation (or loose it) and put upper control arms in the SDL. Probably a short day at work, I am the only car in the EM Parking area.

Si...but it's nothing that a Mojito, Manhattan or Melontini can't resolve accompanied by a conga line....
