We have three Basset Hounds, and they ALL sleep in the bed sometimes!... It gets quite crowded...

But it actually is nice in the winter... They keep you warm on a cold "three dog night". :D

My girlfriend also takes them on a walk almost every evening, around the neighborhood and/or the lake down the street. I join them if I'm around.
They LOVE to chase the squirrels and the ducks. But they're much too slow to ever catch them.

Whenever we eat dinner, or have popcorn and watch a DVD, they have to have their "Kong" toys, packed full of peanut butter, to entertain them, or they drive us nuts and make it impossible to watch a film.

Spoiled?..... I believe so.

Mike

Show me a pet that isn't spoiled and I'll tell you it needs a new home.

long scary night

Stayed up nearly all night with Hogarth. He was throwing up what looked like coffee grounds, which is a very ominous sign of internal bleeding. I adopted this dog in 1999, full grown. 170 lbs of heartworm infested, hit by a car, would fight to the death Mastiff. He has been the best dog I have ever had the pleasure of knowing, and he has helped me thru some pretty rough times. Took him to the vet this morning, he is down to 105lbs. Just waiting to hear the inevitable. Looks like its going to be a long day.

My friend Miss Linda's black cat, Marie-Antoinette, just passed away at age 13. She lived quite the adventurous life, having been adopted, then turned out on the street by her human's heirs when the woman died. According to what we were told, Marie was scratching a living in Jackson Square, and was about to be *set on fire* by some punk kids when she was rescued again.

This time she was adopted by Linda. But the hits keep on comin', folks. At one point she got out and was lost in our apartment complex; I put up signs, and we got her back. A year later she jumped into Linda's window, hit the screen, and fell three stories to the parking lot. Landed on her feet; no damage.

Then she traveled by plane to Denver to live with us there. Three years later, she rode back to NO with me in my W126. And in her last year, she bugged out with us to Texas to escape Katrina.

The human equivalent to this would be, you get rescued as a child by the firemen when your house burns down; you get adopted by loving, rich parents and never have to work; you get to travel the world; and you grow up to look like a supermodel.

We should all be half as lucky!

Howdy All,
My 4 have 2 sofas a big soft chair and my reclining chair for their comfort in the living room. A queen size bed (don't ask about the king size waterbed). On the back porch there are beds. The back yard with a 150' run for their daily exersize. Then they have their own car that I drive them to places in. And a weekly run in the open fields to do their favorite thing..... Chasing jackrabbits. Spoiled?!¿¡ No!¡ They will tell you they get what any "Companion of Kings" deserves. Life of a Saluki.

i buy my dog these ice creams we sell at publix , he loves the peanut butter flavour, the brand is dogsters, its not ice cream persay but flavoured snow, he loves them, he will just lick and lick for 30 minutes to get it all, and every 5 minutes he walks away , shakes his head stares off and goes back to it... i guess dogs can also get a form of brain freeze

here is a pic of my lil poodle.. i love that dog lol

we have to shave his hair off during the summer since it gets too hot for him, back in CT during the winter he would love the snow, youd see him dissapear, then pop up.. then dissapear again, when he came inside it looked like he had dread locks from the snow clinging to him..

We put him down sunday morning at our house. The vet was kind enough to bring him home so we could say good bye, and try and make him comfy at least a little. He died just as the vet was fiddling with the catheter to inject him. We buried my best friend under the big oak tree in the yard where he liked to lounge. So, I guess I spoiled my dog to the end.

OB- I am sorry, here's a computer hug. My cat "Mr. Furr Pants" passed away not too long ago and I know how you feel.

Spoiled? Of course!

Mine are pretty spoiled, they wear collars made by Coach, sleep in the bed, have their own beds and I pay more attention to what they eat then I do to what I eat.

The dog on the left is mine, the dog on the right is a friends.
