Did I read that article right? 1 1/2 POUNDS of marijuana and they got misdemeanor citations? Here that would be poss. w/intent to distribute=felony.

Diesel4me 09-18-2006 03:44 PM

i know right? they probably started out with two pounds. In Texas someone would have gone to jail, maybe even the penn...

Would it have been a distribution charge if all five of the senior citizens claimed possession?

I did the division before I made the comment--still each charged would have had more than 28 grams, which is enough for poss. w/intent to distribute here. Don't know about La., but they are lucky as hell, Willie or not, if they got misdemeanor cites. Still could face up to a year in jail though.

I wonder why he carries that much? I caught him at an outdoor show last year (getting pretty weak, even though he is a hero) and folks must have thrown 1/2 lb. worth of rolled joints onto the state.

You know, that Willie Nelson guy, always driving around in his tour bus with his friends causing trouble...

Does the way that the weed is packaged matter in distribution cases? Maybe they had it all in one of those gallon-sized freezer bags as opposed to single ounce baggies.

I remember when one joint could send you to the joint...

It was all he could stuff in his jeans without drawing suspicion? The local cops smoked the rest? The other half was in his bong bowl?

Leno's gonna love this one.

PS Does conviction mean he can't be Kinky's Secretary of State?

There only two things in life that make it worth livin'
That's guitars that tune good and firm feelin' women
I don't need my name in the marquis lights
I got my song and I got you with me tonight
Maybe it's time we got back to the basics of love

Chorus:
Let's go to Luckenbach Texas with Waylon and Willie and the boys
This successful life we're livin' got us fueding
like the Hatfield and McCoys
Between Hank Williams pain songs, Newberry's train songs
and blue eyes cryin' in the rain out in Luckenbach Texas
ain't nobody feelin' no pain

So baby let's sell your diamond ring
Buy some boots and faded jeans and go away
This coat and tie is choking me
In your high socitey you cry all day
We've been so busy keepin' up with the Jones
Four car garage and we're still building on
Maby it's time we got back to the basics of love

They probably had a hunch that Willie was gonna smoke all of it.

MedMech 09-18-2006 04:28 PM

Willie is back on my cool list.

Dee8go 09-18-2006 04:57 PM

Willie also drives a WVO car

I heard Willie singing the praises of his WVO car on TV a few weeks ago. Maybe he's figured out a way to get a 300D to run on pot now.
