L intl can go to hell

seriously, what the hell is with the 15+(no i'm not joking), emails i get a day from this supposed "L international" computer group???? The spam emails tell me how great their stock is doing and that i should invest, when really i will NEVER invest in a company with those sales tactics and really just want to be left the hell alone. Any idea how to stop these annoying spam emails?? I have tried to contact the company with absolutely zilch as a response. In my mind, people that agree to solicit and/or send spam emails should be given an automatic sentance to hell, jobs arent THAT hard to find out there that people should be so desperate. The thing that REALLY irritates me is if you try to send an email back to the person that spammed you, you get another email saying their email doesn't exist. If you are going to send someone crap emails you should at least open yourself up to the hate email in return. Freedom of speech my ass stop these freaking spam emails, its rediculous.

once a day? you lucky dog.....try getting literally 10-15 emails a day from a company you never wanted to here from. Unfortunately, due to school and work i can't just say screw it to all email, which i would LOVE to do right now. As it is, i have to check everyone of these L Intl emails to make sure it isnt' something important. I stand by my point: f-off L international, get some real marketing tactics not this telemarketing bull**** of the internet.

I went into outlook express and modified the email rules, so that any email with certain words would be deleted form the server, and presto, only a couple a week get by now. I also tried blocking the sender, but that doesn't do much, they send the same email over and over from different senders. I hope it helps, because it's a real pain.

The spammers are just insidious! For every technological advance, there seems to be some sort of "two-steps-back" phenomenon. Witness the Internet - viruses and spam, before that, telephones - telemarketers, etc.

It's kind of like medicine. We find a cure for one thing and two more new diseases pop up.

Have you used Thunderbird? (Mozilla). Its spam/junk filter works quite well for this kind of e-mail.

Does the US have a website/association similar to this one? We signed up to this list and it dramatically reduced the number of calls we get. Almost none now.

http://www.the-cma.org/consumer/donotcontact.cfm

It is a 'Do Not Contact' list from the CMA.

Go into whatever spam-blocker you have available and enter the culprits address so that it automatically blocks them. (If your spam-blocker doesn't have that feature, find a better one.)

I am leary to use mozilla again because last time I utilized their program i ended up loosing all of my emails and contact information randomly one day. Also, I cannot figure out how to set my junk mail controls in outlook because it is run through Mcaffee's spamkiller which my subscription to has ended. Mcaffee is another useless and annoying program BTW, i get a stupid little reminder probably about 3 times a day that i have to click off of. Technology is becoming a huge PIA, i wonder if its not a matter of time before it all crashes and burns, sometimes i think we'd be better off.

My Google spam filter works perfectly and dumps all the spam into a seperate box. I just have to double check it and delete it once a week or so.

So far Google has not let any spam through, and has not marked any of my friends emails as spam. I'm impressed.

Are you using the full-blown Outlook, of just Outlook Express?

I've been using the SpamBayes plugin in Outlook for quite a while now with very satisfactory results. Dynamite!
