did your computer fix the time by itself?

I downloaded the patch for Windows XP for the daylight saving time change, well this morning nothing happened. Is it my computer or is the fix bad?

none of my electronics did... Weak sauce

PC did, Merc did not.

POS, trade that thing in.

i have xp and mine changed just fine.i was gonna look for the patch or update or whatever, but when i got on this morning the time was right on so i'm happy, really if it didn't change i was just gonna let it go for the next 3 weeks and let it change then.i don't look at the time very often anyway.

Same here. W208 would even allow me to override the time. The satellite icon clued me in to the fact that it must be calibrated via GPS. Still, no change.

Win2003 changed, 5 of my 6 WinXP machines changed, turns out 6th machine was in a different group on WSUS and wasn't getting updates pushed to it..

Yeah, that threw me - though I could reset via the COMAND.

It should have calibrated via GPS, appparently their satellite's software was out of date. :)

Same thing happened to my one the pc.

I downloaded the fix, and it didn't change the time. I had to do it manually.

Now, the Mac on the other hand, changed the time by itself after downloading the update.

Windows Mobile 2005 also changed correctly with the update, after a reboot.

I don't remember downloading any patch for the time change but when I turned on the computer a few minutes ago lo and behold the time was changed.

BENZ-LGB 03-11-2007 11:58 PM

Mine changed the time and had a fresh cup of capuccino waiting for me. :D

diametricalbenz 03-12-2007 03:40 AM

Mine updated automatically. I don't remember it downloading anything within the last week since my is in suspension when it moves from home, to the office and back.

My work PC on XP did without doing anything, I'm not sure about the home one.

I did have to turn the knob to change the clock on my TD this morning. :)

I decided not to change the time as I do not use Outlook as a scheduler of my appointments.
It corrected the time, anyway. No input from me. I guess MS sent me a patch, but I took no overt action.

Dee8go 03-12-2007 09:46 AM

My computer at work is just as accurate today as it was on Friday. It has NEVER had the correct time on it. Windows XP Professional.

I don't blame Microsoft for this, though. The guy who maintains our network seems very disorganized and not too sharp most of the time. I'm sure that has a lot to do with this issue among many others.
