Latest round of mods on the MAFIA E55 AMG...

Alright so finally took some pics. Here are the latest mods:

- HID Foglights at 6000k
- European trunk lid with French Parisian license plate.
- Alcantara Brand black headliner, diamond stitched Aston Martin style, and A/B/C pillars covered.
- Brabus Steering wheel with custom black piano finish instead of the standard burlwood it came with.
- Anceltion VIP Curtains for rear window. The tracks on the left rear window came undone as you will see in pics. I need to fix it.

Note that the pieces that are white such as the handles, seatbelt surrounds etc will be painted black to match soon.

Added some pics of my Valentine 1 remote display and Uniden BCT10 Police scanner.

Enjoy/Hate

My buddy's new car and mine:

C43 AMG Mirror/Dome light Cluster.

Nice. I like the pimpin' headliner!

The brake calipers would take a little getting used to for me.

The exterior is beautiful. It is very aggressive and determined. that is a very definite head-turner without being gaudy. Your car makes a great statement.

The interior shows a strong generational difference between you and me. I'm okay with everything except what you liked the most! Oh well, it's to please you, not me. I'd love to drive you car but couldn't own it.

Sweeet ride as usual man! You've put some serious effort into that beast!

Love the V1. Gotta get me one of those one day.

Exterior is great, love the trunk lid! The headliner isn't my taste, but you've done a great job with the install - looks very neat. There are a few little things I could pick on (double plate, runner lights) but who cares. It's also hard to get the whole picture from pics alone. You gotta get in the car and feel the vibe, lol. VIP curtains are cool. Xenons are awesome!

It's a smokin' sled you got there!

I can't remember - did you do an audio upgrade as well?

EDIT - Just noticed your sig. Do you have dual citizenship? French citizen, hence the Paris plates? If so, that's cool - forget the plate comment.

A little time on your hands?

A generational taste issue to me as well...love the brakes and such.

The Euro license plate recess is cool if you only had to sport euro plates...having to tack on the US spec plates on top of that makes the mod pointless IMHO.

Headliner is a bit too "70's Ford Custom Van" too me. Looks very non-Mercedes! But at least yours isn't sagging like mine!

I like the stereo mod...do you plan on integrating the detector in the dash somewhere later?

I dig it, but the headliner is different. Whatever toots your horn, as that's what car customizing is all about.

In an S600, they should be factory-fitted.

License plate frames, a pass to speed in Calif? Or not..

Except for the headliner, I like it a lot.

The CHP 11-99 license plate surrounds PLUS the V1 radar dectector will likely indicate to any cop of Highway Patrolman that you have "intent to speed" and get away with it, or if caught, will get a free pass anyway.

Joining the 11-99 Foundation to support the widows and orphans of the CHP officers is very expensive isn't it $1,000 to $2,000 a year and a major benefit is perceived to be forgiveness for speeding, the police see the frames and they won't write you, so it's thought.

Having a Police Scanner on the dashboard makes it even worse, it's your right, but in combination with everything else, it is going to look pretty suspicious to some cops.

It doesn't always work, and your car REALLY looks built for speed, and let's face it, it is fast. I read that the license plate surrounds can actually be recalled by the 11-99 Foundation if they think they are being abused. It's like they are leased, and aren't really your private property

Anyway, maybe it's pure altruism on your part, and if so, I applaud you and I am sorry about bringing it up. But coupled with the V1 and how the car looks, some cops might be skeptical if you get stopped for speeding, which I hope you don't

I'm a peace officer and there is a thing called the Law Enforcement Code of Ethics.

I have a scanner because I like to know what is going on around me. I have a V1 because I like to do 70-80mph and I don't like to get pulled over. I have an 11-99 frame because the CHP was my first law enforcement home in my youth.
