An unnamed source claims she is excited at the prospect of prison when told each cell has it's own bars. She then requested hers be stocked with plenty of Ketel One............

Putting her in jail is a waste of space and I highly doubt an average person would do 45 days for the same offense.

Make her do @#$% pile of community service.

Actually, in California laws are pretty tough for DUIs.

Remember, she first got a suspended sentence and was put on 36 months probation.

She violated probation 3 times, twice arrested post conviction, then driving with a suspended license and not enrolling in an alcohol school program.

She had it coming. Judge did not have a lot of discretion.

WHO'S GETTING PUNISHED HERE? THE COMMUNITY SERVICE SUPERVISORS?

I could bet that judge saw a few episodes of "The Simple Life" and pretty much saw that Paris had taken the CS option off the table.

Besides, with the list of f**kups (FUs) that Ms. Hilton has in NOT completing her 36 months of probation, drinking, DAR and the like - yeah, CS is just begging for another FU in its program.

What Paris needs is a little TLC under the leching..err...watchful eye of fellow imates (which, BTW, won't happen because she's to be put in isolation for her own safety).

Will she be a better person for the experience?

I doubt it...she's got too many enablers around her for her own good.

In ten years, she'll be either: Dead or on some god-forsaken cable channel hawking some over-priced POS in order to fund some certain amount of pending plastic surgery (OOPS! Forgot that mummy/daddykins will be able to fund her every whim! Silly me!)

My money's on "Dead."

I think the funny part of all of this was watching the "talking heads" try to sound like they were all for "public safety" and making sure justice was being served properly, but at the same time, measuring their words so that they themselves wouldn't be left off any up-coming "Paris-fest" A-list.

It's tough being a Californication Media Type. You just don't know how far you can "take it" before yelp...err...going over the line!

Like her or not how does putting her in jail help society? She will be in grave risk of being beaten or murdered because of her celebrity status do you think that is the fine for the crime?

She should be serving her time where her status can be used to help others, too me that is paying her debt to society.

She's going to be serving the time in Lynwood, CA, which is a city that is predominantly latino and black.

It ain't gonna be pretty for the celebutant.

To you think being stabbed with a shank or beat up is fit for the offense.

too me this issue is not about her, it's about our legal system in general whenever a high profile person in my community gets into trouble the judges smack them:

One example is a person witnessed and ratted on a prominent defense lawyers son do a line of cocaine and pass the plate:
Punishment- 2 years in state prison and 5 years probation.

no priors,no issues just a judge that had a hard on.

Hopefully, something bad will happen and a really rich guy turns the screws. Not enough people are pissed off. Look what a little BS did for Alec Baldwin, now hes a man with a mission.

MM, under sentencing rules, the judge had very little choice.

And everyone can relax, Paris ain't getting shanked anytime soon.

She is not going to do hard time at the Lynwood jail. She will not be be in the general population. No Blacks or Mejicanos are ever going to touch her flawless white skin.

The Lynwood jail is not Alcatraz.

45 days in jail might be the best thing that ever happened to her. I have little doubt that she'll be able to buy protection from someone -- just have her people put a few $hundred a week on the books for some indigent tough girl to spend on cigarettes and she'll be fine.

As for not deserving it, she acts like she's above the law. Bingo, bango, pow, you're busted.

Yep, for once I agree with our resident hippie. A few weeks in the slammer may be what it takes to straighten her out. At the rate she's been going, she will be dead in 5 years if she doesn't straighten out.
