Sold my 1989 300E with 207,000 miles on it.

Engine completely original, no work done on actual engine. All seals, valves, etc. original. Same with tranny.

240D 3.0VNTi 209,252miles

1992 300CE 168'000 - rebuilt transmission.

82 300cd, bought at about 170K with suspect engine and tranny. drove for a while then pulled the motor for a rebuilt one. tranny finally failed. will be converting it to a four speed stick here soon. about 190k now i think.

84 280e euro. ex pro ralley car. bought with about 90k on it. drove up to about 120K, sold it off, and bought it back in sad shape a couple of years ago. it had been flooded. motor stuck. pulled motor had my favorite machinist fix what was ailing it, including a full valve job and rebuilding the oil pump, changed all fluids and installed a new clutch and pp and have been autocrossing it. the motor really loves to wind. it now has lowering springs and came with a 369 rear end so it will spin the hoosiers on take off pretty easily without winding it and dumping the clutch. about 143K on it now.

other than that i am out of benzes except for quite a few spare parts which i have been selling off here to finance autocrossing silliness.

i would like to sell off my magnum and get back into a used benz wagon. as my daily driver.

I'll be rolling over 370K this weekend.:cool: The engine and trans are original, but I've replaced MANY things.:D

Conversely I've got many things to replace.:(

'78 450 SL-C. . .the odo says 47,028, put 3 miles on the odo in 5 years, only works extremely cold and only for about 30 seconds then. .

people ask me if the mileage is correct. . .I let them think what they will. . .
