I have a mini fridge that, the type that is about 2 ft X 2 ft. The power cord is too short to reach the outlet and it says in the owners manual, not to use an extention cord....why? If I use a 5 ft cord, is that a fire hazard? Is that warning more generic and the hazard applies to bigger fridges that draw more current?
