Hillary is nowhere near "far-left", although, sometimes it's difficult to know exactly where she is...........

Like GW (a right-wing socialist), she seems to be carving out her own space on the political spectrum. Her ignorant drum-beating on the Senate floor linking 9-11 and Al Qaeda to Saddam and Iraq, thus advocating invasion, is all I need to know about Ms. Clinton.

Like any good Clinton politico, she will waft with the current breeze...........I'm not a supporter of her because, like Bill, there really is no position that she cannot abscond with on a moment's notice.

GermanStar 06-30-2007 11:35 AM

Agreed -- Mitt Romney seems to have a similar, if less mercurial affliction.

And that recent crap from her about how we gave Iraqis the chance for freedom but they've blown it does not impress.

Does that equal 'National Socialist'?

In a word she is horrible. I listened briefly to the Dem debate the other night I think the only person who likes hearing her speak is herself. I will never understand people who's sole ambition in life is to get elected to a position such as the presidency when they do not genuinely have an agenda to do some good.

Matt L 06-30-2007 08:36 PM

An "agenda to do some good" may be worse than no agenda at all. What's good for many people is abhorrent to myself (which works the other way too).

Gridlock in government is the best that we can ask for.

These issues transcend left and right.

I am for the choice of abortion. Don't want one, don't have one.
I am for the choice of gun ownership. Don't want one, don't buy one.
I am for the choice of marriage. Want to marry someone? Why should I get in your way.
I do not think we need amnesty for illegal aliens.
Censorship is a darling of the far right. I want choice, not censorship. For example, I would love to be able to choose the (few) cable channels that I want, without getting (and paying for) trash like MTV.

In all three cases, you don't want the government telling you how to live your life.

I don't see how this makes you a "far left liberal".

I wish. I've been much too busy around the house.

However, we got the lawn mowed, and I will probably hang a few curtain rods this evening; perhaps I'll take the initiative and get out to the range tomorrow.

If so, you can take some of the credit.
