New wheels
On my bike. Topolino wheels replacing those Mavics. Chez sweetness! I could have dieted and lost 1lb but decided to buy some speed. LOL!

What are the black plastic-looking knobs at either ends of the spokes?

That's just the way they're made. They are kevlar/carbon spokes so they need some way to mate the spoke to the spoke nipple which adjusts the tension of the spoke.

That's an awesome bike! What's the frame size? Aluminum frame? Those tires look blue colored on the thread surface.

It's a 50cm frame in standard measurement. Those tires are blue, navy blue. Matches the navy blue one the bike.

Wow, 50cm. I ride 58cm frame size. I should have a 60cm. I also had a 62cm 'Atala', that one was hard like a rock. I had to give it away.
I love my 'Peugeot' 54cm Aluframe. It's a mountain/touring frame. Not very fast, but does very well on rough terrain and dirt roads.

6.3 ... on a good day.
I think I have some pics somewhere, I just had it taken apart and put new wheels on. They're black rims with black tires, I dunno what they are I'd have to look. Got them from ebay, great deal. It's a classic road bike, I brought it from Europe, where I bought it as a Colnago, but it turns out, it's not a Colnago. Nobody, knows what brand it is.... But it rides like a dream, so it is really a good frame. It's got shimano 600 with a Dura Ace crankset. I'd say it's a late 70's to early 80's frame. I will look for some pics.

Man that sounds like a sweet bike. I love classic bikes. I used to have an old Raleigh with Suntour components back around '86.
