Its a simple answer but a difficult execution, if you'll pardon the pun. But in order to combat terrorism you need to identify what a particular group of terrorists holds as sacrosanct, and then attack that. Terrorism itself is just a weapon used to further an agenda. You can't have a war on terrorism any more than you can have a war on knives or guns.
In the situation of extremist Muslims, the first step would be to not kill them. Deny them the martyrdom they sought. Keep them alive and in a state of suffering/deprivation for the rest of those miserable lives. It is necessary to keep them alive so that the second part of the plan can be implemented, which would be to exact vengeance on their women. Mothers, sisters, daughters, aunts and grandmothers. Make them bear the weight of knowing that every immediate female blood relative they has been executed due to their actions, and then let them live a long life getting to think about that. Now that of course is a "king of the world" scenario, and couldn't ever happen. But I think it would make someone think twice before strapping a bomb on to do the work of someone who claims to know the will of Allah. Someone who isn't ready to strap that bomb on themselves. |

Maybe we need terrorists of our own - Western terrorists -
Westerners willing to blow themselves up while standing next to a terrorist mullah, for instance. Maybe death row inmate volunteers? |
Is it me or were the Glasgow terrorists the most useless bunch (thankfully) of terrorists to walk the face of the earth.....one throws a petrol bomb at the window of the airport terminal, which bounces off the plate glass, rolls under the Jeep and sets fire to it. They then drive at the terminal building and find that its stronger than they first thought, so one guy gets out and pours gas all over himself and then sets fire to himself and starts running about only to be knocked out cold by a civilian who thumps him on the chin. The other guy gets caught. The police then catch a couple of others, one of which is in the house they were using (you would have thought that getting the hell out of there would have been a good idea) and the other is caught driving a car that is still registered in his name...brilliant planning....
Thankfully for all those innocent passengers at the airport this so called terrorist cell had only one brain cell between them. Here's hoping that things quieten down for a bit...although sadly thats unlikely to be the case |
Anybody that thinks he has 72 virgins waiting for him, can't be too bright. Virgins are too much work - gimme someone who knows what they are doing.

Sounds terrible...and it is...
More terrorism. Us terrorizing them. Car bombs..planes? Ha! Try Tomahawks, JDAMS, and MOABS. The Russians had a little terrorist problem in a place called Chechnya. The Chechens took hostages, tortured soldiers. etc... The Russians simply exterminated the population of the capital city of Grozny who didn't leave, and strafed those leaving with helicopter gunships. Its getting sickening already. What are they trying to prove, that they can't defeat us on the battlefield so they must attack civilians like cowards? I think we SHOULD stoop to their level, and show our military capabilities on participants/supporters and the like. It's terrible, but it has gotten to the point where I feel like I have to except one fact; if you are not an American, and not a friend of the American people, I could really care less what happens to you. If 20 of their women and children need to die so none of mine (or any American's) die by the hand of terror, so be it. "My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom. " . . . William T. Sherman "...we are not only fighting hostile armies, but a hostile people, and must make old and young, rich and poor, feel the hard hand of war, as well as their organized armies. I know that this recent movement of mine through Georgia has had a wonderful effect in this respect. Thousands who had been deceived by their lying newspapers to believe that we were being whipped all the time now realize the truth, and have no appetite for a repetition of the same experience..." It's truly sad in this day and age that there are groups of people that have no better aspirations in their life than to be a martyr in some silly quest of religious "freedom".
Basically IMHO it boils down to radical religious racism. One group wants to eradicate the other with no regard to human life whatsoever. They consider the other side as nothing more than dogs. Actually less. The children are raised with these ideals and so the perpetuation of hatred will continue on. Newsflash:::: break the chain. If it means taking control of a country and ridding the country of the Mullahs that preach hatred...then so be it. That is the start. Will it be an overnight success? No. But you have to start. And it would take total support. That's why it would be cool to be King. Don't like it....off with your head. OOOpps somebody would be coming after me next. |
