Disappearing car door
|
Not so new. Identical to the tailgate on my 74 Olds Custom Cruiser.
|
Didn't the Kaiser Darrin have doors that slid into the front fenders?

Linky no worky.
iirc, can't think of a production car with such doors. |
|
The Graham Cavalier must have been ahead of its time to have forward hinged doors in 1936/7.

Don't minivans do that?
|
Not any that I've seen. They do open parallel to the body, but on the outside.
|
A Gullwing would accomplish the same thing, just can't park it too close to another car.
Think Britney could have used a dissappearing car door? http://media.egotastic.com/media/pic...ears-pussy.jpg |
You have to admit, it is pretty slick looking.
Are they out of Detroit? I noticed the Fox theatre in the beginning. |

Don't gullwings take less space to open then a standard coupe door? I don't have the specs handy but that was the case on the DMC.
