Thank God! I was afraid there was not one big enough for my needs.

depends how many hours you watch it. Most have 10,000 viewing hours what I want to know is, do those things have a clock on them that says "O.K. 10,000 hours are up I'm not working anymore..."

The newer plasmas have design features that make them last longer as I understand it. The older ones had a problem with burn-in that reduced their lifespan.

It's built into their DNA, Mistress.

Why would you want to keep it for longer than three years, anyways? By then your friends will be buying 300" TVs, and you'll just feel inadequate when they come over to your house and make fun of your little TV.

I'm waiting until they come out with plasma drywall. I'll just have the entire inside of my house as a TV. It'll be completely panoramic. I'll have the ceiling made up of surround sound speakers . . . Shoot, maybe I'll even start watching some TV.

Why? Did your neighbor who has a 20' screen come over and insult your little TV?

I have a pretty high end projector at the office and we have a very long front room in the house so I pulled the trigger on an inflatable outdoor screen for tonight's game. Figure I can use it this summer for outdoor movies.

I have a neighbor who does that for his daughter's birthday party every year. He just uses an old film projector, though. I guess he'll be transitioning over to a digital video projector soon, too.

My next TV will also be a projector. I had planned on buying one when I got back from deployment, but the prices were still close to $1k for even the cheapest ones. I found a 52" big screen for $50 in the meantime, so I've lost almost all interest in getting a projector for now.
