I ran into and old friend last week and we spent a great time reminiscing about some of our earlier experiences in life in general as younger men. I have been very fortunate as I have been in international business since I was 26 years old.

Along the way I have met many great people all over the world but I thought hey why not do a link with some funny travel experiences. Here's one from when I was 27, GREEN and in Munich for the first time... I can laugh now..

So I land in Munich at 10:30 am local time and I have exactly one hour before a client was flying in from Sweden to meet me. This was for a 5 million euro inventory deal. Big deal for me at the time ! I get there after a 8 hr flight and I smell, well..interesting ... so off to the hotel I go in a hurry with my new corporate bavarian friend racing me off.
I get to the hotel with 30 minutes to go and I am half in the shower unpacking and my bavarian friend asking if I need something from downstairs etc...

I say no, but I shout over to him , Hey Martin whats this? I have a effervescent bath ball in my hand, never saw one, can't read German.. He says to me yeah, yeah...wash ball...ok...what do I know I am GREEN and just happy to be on land again..off I go...

Well needless to say I am hurriedly scrubbing the holiest of holies with in essence a friggin scour pad here till it crumbles into dust...I am like.."How do these Germans wash?...I am raw now and late...get dressed , off I go to the remainder of a 10 hr day...Finally at the end of the evening..I say to Martin..Hey Marty, what the hell with the soap here man?
He explained he meant it is a WASH BALL for the BATH...or as he says for WOMENS..I told him what I did and he laughed his *ss off for the remainder of the week...I joined in later that week...

Ahhh..the good times
