Black leather seats to repalce worn out tan ones in my BMW

I have a 1983 633CSI. It is white with tan leather. The drivers seat is toast, and it would cost me almost $1,000 to have it redone. I had someone leave a note on my front door saying that he knows someone who has parts for these cars and I can get a whole set of excellent black leather seats for $100. The car does have other black it, the seats, and top of the door panels. I feel as if I cant go wrong for that price, but then again the code on the vin says the the car is supposed to have tan leather. so, with this, will I destroy the future value of this car if I convert it to a black interior?
