Nope! No "walking dead" in my place! I'll let you in on a 'lil secret, then I'll have to kill...er...never mind....

OK, here's the deal...before I tore the wings off, I shook them up, slammed their 'lil bodies on the table to stun them (table-boarding), then I took a long piece of hair (approx. 12" in length), tied an overhand knot towards the one end and slipped the "noose" around the fly's 'lil neck and waited for them to recover from the "stunning" - then they recovered and then tried to fly off, I had them on this little, tiny leash ("walking the dog") and kept them like that 'til I tired of it, THEN, I RIPPED THEIR WINGS OFF AND MADE THEM SWIM IN HOT WATER 'TIL I TIRED OF THAT, THEN I TIED 'LIL ROCKS ON THE OTHER END OF THE PIECE OF HAIR AND I DROWNED THEM!

BWA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA!

I didn't release them...I only do THAT when I go fishing...that's called "catch and release" and it's DNR-approved, too! :D

I'm glad you are done with me because that means of course ... you wont respond to this!

BTW, Bot, have you tried out the "Ignore List" function in your User CP?

It works wonders on those pesky posts that seem to go nowhere and spend all your valuable time having to read through them without getting anything out of them at all...except maybe a headache.

I've tried it and it works WONDERS! It makes this thread MUCH MORE enjoyable and delightful to read without all the bother of nimrods and nair-do-wells interrupting a delightful flow of thoughts...

BTW, would you happen to have any Grey Poupon? I'm completely out of it myself and I need a little on my knife to draw in a few more flys for my "hobby" - :D

No point in fly-fishing without a hook.

You know, that's one part of fishing I've never tried...I guess the idea of standing in the middle of a stream, with 'waders' that (my luck!) would leak regardless how careful I would be putting them on, and whipping the pole and line all day just never enticed me enough to try it...

I guess one must be able to enter that certain "zone" in order to enjoy that particular sport...

I'm also guessing that my makeup just doesn't lend itself to that type of fishing...my loss I guess...everyone I've seen doing it seems to throughly enjoy the time they're spending in the river...

Someday... :)

The enjoyment that one receives from activities that are highly individualistic like art or skydiving or golf or fly fishing are often incomprehensible to people who don't enjoy those things. I don't enjoy golf worth a crap, but my enjoyment of fly fishing enables me to understand how one could play a round of golf alone and from that activity, receive a measure of happiness. If I could maintain that perspective I could learn to enjoy golf. Or art.

They do make waterproof mascara and the lipstick probably isn't that easily washed away. The wife "fell" into the lake last year and while her hair was wet the mascara and lipstick still was there. :D

On his flight to Afghanistan, he says, he was stripped, beaten, shackled, made to wear nappies and drugged.

Medmech 06-09-2008 02:08 PM

When asked if he could be specific about his flight all he could say was "depends".

If that's supposed to be funny, it's not. I saw the interview with this person and a few others (all innocent) with similar experiences. They're horrifying stories and there's nothing funny about them. And I certainly don't remember this guy saying "it depends".
