stupid quicktime

I am having an issue with quicktime and its annoying me..

I am trying to play a video from my algebra book that works out the problems for me so I can see what to do. Well.. it was working just fine last semester and now no audio is playing. I get audio with iTunes and everything else.

I removed and reinstalled quicktime with no improvement, all drivers are to date(all automatic update)...

I also need a new laptop.. I have yet to commit to buying a new one.. I like having money in my account but not spending it. a problem

You and I think alike about that, Joe. The money goes in in dribs and drabs, but seems to fly out by the bucket fulls.

The best thing I EVER did with quicktime was uninstall it. Got QT drivers for my media player of choice.

QuickTime

Quicktime sux but if you need it , you need it.
Try this:
Uninstall it again, then reboot yer puter. Clik Start-Run and type in "regedit". Be careful in here!!!! Look through and delete anything that says quicktime. Reboot yer machine and then reinstall it. This should fix it. I have had that problem several times.
