I have a basement full of good ole South Carolina fireworks! Maybe I'll throw some in the car before heading South. Fireworks that don't shoot off into the sky, explode, or make a lot of noise are for weinies!

Yeah, Bot, I rmember M-80s, cherry bombs, Roman candles, and other such explosive accoutrements like it was just yesterday. . . .Oh, wait, it WAS just yesterday!

I've decided that when I die, I want to be cremeated and have my ashes launched heavenward in a rocket of some sort. I'll have to have The Don on standby to engineer my launch vehicle. Like Johnny Depp did for Hunter S. Thompson, The Don can launch me into the afterlife as the finale of my big wake/going away party.

Ayup!

I'll be spending the 4th in Chicago for my sis' BF's funeral and flying back early on the 5th. They had to rent a field house to handle the 350-400 people they're expecting for the memorial service. His and all his friends' bands are all planning on playing tribute sets and they're going to have a huge BBQ. He's definitely going out with a bang! Puttin' the F-U-N in funeral, the way he would have wanted it.
