I got the same e-mail yesterday...snopes.com verifies the story as accurate.

That's absolutely true.

We've discussed it on here before when Edwards admitted his own infidelity.

Since it happened 30 years ago, certain members simply dismissed it.

John McCain............a man with no integrity and no loyalty. I suppose the part about "for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness or in health" escaped John McCain.

This man has such a profound respect for women that he recently called his own wife a c____ in front of several staffers.

I don't understand why the Oboma campaign didn't jump on this.

.........you want to attack the integrity of a military officer..........without any solid proof that he left his first wife for reasons other than "incompatibility"...........???

Anyone with one shred of intelligence can read between the lines...........but, the vast population of geniuses out there may not.

How he chose to manage his personal relationships should have no bearing on how effective he would be in office...just ask ole Bill... ;)

For anyone in the military that would be career suicide. Outside the military it sure would show lack of tact. Oh, I think you made a mistake 30 years ago so you're still a bad person... Seriously...now if he has pulled something like John Edwards recently, that's a different story. Then again, I'm not a perfect person so I'm not going to try and pass judgment on his personal life.

Honestly what McCain did is on a far far far greater level than Clinton did. Clinton finally admitted to what happened and cleaned up his act. Did McCain? No, McCain is a slimy old man....not to mention he really doesn't have much else to show for himself aside from his "War stories". Clinton had a very successful presidency that got a lot done.

I wasn't aware of McCain's womanizing either, now I know. I don't want that leading the country. How ironic he chooses some young woman former model to be his running mate.

I get the sense that McCain is 20 years too late and Palin is about 15 years too early.........neither of which is a good thing.

But, Obama is a bit early himself..........

If you're going to compare apples to apples, you should take what Clinton did BEFORE he got into office. Oh yes, you're right, Clinton did admit "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" AFTER it was in the news and it looked like there could have been possible impeachment. Yeah, much better character there. So other than a decision he made 30 years ago...what else makes him slimy?

TheDon 09-12-2008 02:34 PM

impeachments are over rated

pawoSD 09-12-2008 02:41 PM

It doesn't really matter what McCain does or has done, Republicans are like Zombies, brainwashed into voting for the Republican Candidate no matter what they've done. McCain can do just about anything he wants without fear of losing his loyal supporters. :D

I'd like to know how many military service members (such as myself) are going to vote for Obama (which I will not do). I have problems with a commander in chief with no military background, what 134 days of government service, and had made plans to pull out of Iraq without having been there himself to see the progress for his own eyes. I'm concerned about working for an armchair quarterback who won't get his hands dirty.

This I did not know:

Bill Clinton is running for President for a third term.

Thanks for the heads-up.

A very good point. It likley encourages some. How does the approach positively influence most swing voters?
