Garbage is good business! When I was little and took sailing class's, one of the kids that sailed with us had a Regulator as "his" boat. Not bad for 12!

His dad owned a garbage business...should have seen the house's...boats...and I think their was a plane...

http://www.associatedcontent.com/article/279786/how_to_remove_a_parking_boot.html?page=3&cat=27

"Removing the boot without tools or damage is actually a very simple matter. Simply let out about half of the air from the "booted" tired. Once you let the air out the prong that holds the boot in place can be slid past the tire, exposing the hubcap. I had initially intended to change the tire but I found that after sliding the clamp off the front of the tire the rest of the boot was only hooked into the wheel from the rear. I got behind the wheel of the car, started it and drove it a few inches forward and the torque of the wheel immediately popped the boot completely off."

you can remove a boot by deflating the tire and then driving forward a bit until it slips off, usually it works.

To whom? The company may not be sending the same person there every day.

And he was supposed to display his permit at all times. He knew the rules and broke it. Now he is upset that he gets into problems.

How so?
He did not break the rules. He forgot to display a permit that he already had. If I leave my license or proof of insurance at home I get a ticket till I go to court and prove I had it at the time of the infraction. This was out of line IMO

True, happened to me before. I had the wrong insurance card in my glovebox, went to court, showed them the paper, he called them to confirm its status and the case was dismissed.

He forgot to display a permit he had which is an infraction of the rules.

But that is what the law allows you to do. However, the rules of the company might not be so lenient. Nothing says that they must give you a break.

It all resembles extortion by the mafia.

Stuff like this usually goes on until someone gets killed or you focus enough media/political light on it to make it go away.

I feel fortunate to have been able to find a home without an HOA. I have dealt in the past with mostly benevolent HOAs and Condo associations and even with those felt the Nazi influence on their activities.

They'll feel some heat when they boot the car of someone who has to get to the hospital......
