H-townbenzoboy 12-30-2008 04:22 AM

"H-town" means Houston, Tex., which is the city I that was born, raised, and live in. "Benzoboy" was just some forum name filler that I made up as a 16 year old. At the numerous MB forums I'm a member of, it's the only name that I use, with exception to one MB forum, when I decided to try something new by coming up with a new name. That forum folded within months, and I hardly posted there, so I did not get to try out my new name as I'd wanted.

MBeige 12-30-2008 04:23 AM

Steeped in the mists of ancient lore and history my name means"one who doesn't drink alone".

SwampYankee 12-30-2008 09:28 AM

I yam what I yam. :) Although we are a little displaced to the west.

"Swamp Yankee is a colloquialism that has a variety of meanings. Generally, it refers to Yankee or WASP's (northeasterners with colonial ancestry) from rural Rhode Island and nearby eastern Connecticut and southeastern Massachusetts. The term "Yankee" connotes urbane industriousness, while the term "Swamp Yankee" signifies a more countrified, stubborn, independent and less refined subtype." :D

New England redneck is an oversimplification but close.

blk90s13 12-30-2008 09:34 AM

My name and my first MB.:D

The "rogue" T as JimmyL calls it was added in my naive attempt to inform everyone that my wagon had a turbo.

I keep the extra T as a reminder of all I have learned, and continue to learn, from my forum family.:D

Dee8go 12-30-2008 10:17 AM

Another forum member dubbed me "Diego" after Diego Rivera, the artist, as in Diego Rivera and Frida Khalo.

MTUpower 12-30-2008 10:44 AM

MTU was the Mercedes off road commercial arm that builds marine/train/construction/etc diesels. It was sold to a european investment group a few years back.

It had more to do with personalities than with looks, Kuan. She's a lot better looking than Frida was. Her unibrow was disturbing. Other than that, I thought she looked pretty good.

I think I'm a lot better looking than Diego was, too. Whatever it was that Diego Rivera had that attracted women, it wasn't his looks.

Fulcrum525 12-30-2008 12:18 PM

I've had this name in one place or another for years.

The philosophical Fulcrum of a lever= I decide the outcome of events (One way or another) based on where I stand:cool:

OR
http://img523.imageshack.us/img523/1...ovt1280rw7.jpg

a Mig-29 Fulcrum

In TF2 and some other games it was made fun of quite often so I had to switch to the Fulcrums larger cousin , the Flanker

The 525 is just a cool number:D

ILUVMILS 12-30-2008 01:28 PM

My favorite jobs have always been diagnosing Malfunction Indicator Lights. Check Engine, ASR/ABS, SRS, Tele-Aid, TPC, whatever. I sometimes half-joke that I made fifteen years of mortgage payments diagnosing and repairing various MIL's. I know the DIY crowd probably doesn't agree, but ILUVMILS!!!

mgburg 12-30-2008 01:44 PM

My "John Hancock" on everything I sign...

TheDon 12-30-2008 01:59 PM

in high school everyone though I was italian so they dubbed me "TheDon" and it has stuck. Its funny going to gtg's and people ask, "where is TheDon" or" Who is TheDon?" and I say "I'm TheDon."

they usually expect some older guy but nope.. its me some 19 year old college kid

MTI 12-30-2008 04:11 PM

E150GT 12-30-2008 05:09 PM

Both myself and a friend of mine used to drive old Ford E-150 vans. We were really into faster cars like a Mustang GT, but couldnt afford them. We still can't. We used to race each other all the time, so I dubbed my van the E150GT. Too bad I always lost as I had a FI'd 6 cylinder vs his carbureted 351.

Frank X. Morris 12-30-2008 05:51 PM

Howdy All,
Frank means dull. X means an unusual middle name. Morris means back to dull.

LaRondo 12-30-2008 06:13 PM

L.A. morphed in to La, still stands for Los Angeles

Definition for: Rondo

A classic Rondo by Mozart

Further advanced: Blue Rondo a la Turk - Dave Brubeck

An ELP version of it. For electronic fans.

In different hemispheres Blue Rondo a la Turk may sound like Me and Mr Sanchez

Dee8go 12-30-2008 06:25 PM

I think that sounds way too cerebral for this crowd . . .

A264172 12-30-2008 06:31 PM
