Exactly and she is spreading FUD as well. Ubuntu by default comes with Open Office loaded so all MS formats are handled to a plumb. Her excuse that she couldn't open MS Access file is sheer horse puckey. Also Ubuntu is as GUI as you can get, everything is right there, far more defined than other OS so she has to be borderline to not have comprehended Ubuntu. Don't think she can handle Windows either.

You must know as well as I that people are freakin' dumb when it comes to computers. This didn't surprise me at all.

All MS formats? Including Office 2007 without having to do any conversions? I ask only because I'm not familiar with Ubuntu and have only slight experience with Open Office itself.
