Mercedes 190E with 30,000 Miles!!!!!!!!! - PeachParts Mercedes-Benz Forum

Today my son went to a friends house and her father is a big GM guy. He told me they where talking about cars and his daughter said that my son is a Mercedes guy. He takes my son into the garage and there sits a black 1986 Mercedes 190E 2.3 in mint condition with only 30,000 miles. All origional!!!! My son took pictures with his cell phone. The owner told him he drives it once a week during the summer time. Anyone else have a car as old as that with that low miles?

My father has a 2001 E55 AMG with around 50k miles that just sits in the garage all the time.

I have an '82 300D with 67,000 miles and the 1983 SL AMG has 45,000 miles. The low mileage cars are out there, and I love driving all original ones.

I was floored when he told me it had 30k on it. I was about ready to jump in the car and drive over and make an offer.

Wow thats low miles. 83 SL AMG? Was that a special edition car I am guessing? or an SL upgraded?

I have seen a couple AMG W210's around with low miles. Nothing too low. 50-60k at the least.

Friend of mine that's a Super Mod on Benzworld picked up an '86 190E 2.6 in 199 Pearl Black with a palomino interior, with just 50k on it. Beautiful little car.

Got it for just $2,000 in Los Angeles, it belonged to the just deceased grandmother of an auto junkyard owner that he knew, but unfortunately, for some reason, since it passed through the hands of the junkyard just before he got it, it has a salvage title on it now.

Great little car for running around all over LA, I got rides in it many times.

Yeah I know of two matching 560SEL's with well under 30k miles on them that have been sitting in a climate controled airplane hanger since new. I have also been trying to get my hands on one for years.

I think one has 10k-15k miles on it...thats the one I want.

Wow! Its nice to see some low miles on classic cars. Not like it matters with Mercedes because they will run forever. I would love to find a classic Mercedes with low miles and store it away and then take it out in 10 years and see what it is worht. I have a 1987 420SEL with 113,000 miles but, I think its too many miles and I dont think it will go up in value considering its not stock.

My 76 SLC has roughly 75K.

Not using it much now but hope to do so soon (post upcoming surgery).

My grandmother has an '84 300SD with 80k on it. Its a superclean maroon colored one. Very pristine. I cant convince her to sell it to me.

Well they are in upstate CT, so probably local to you. They are owned by a very wealther devloper who doesn't drive much anymore, he just flies which works since most of his houses are on lakes all over New England.

If they ever do come on the market I'll be sure to post the one I don't want on this forum.

They might not even come on this forum, I know a couple people who I could probably flip the other one too for a quick G note profit.
