Some of the engineering looks a bit barnyard but the overall result is still pretty good. (All that work and they didn't fit a raised air intake?)

Very cool.

Still think a Mog is cooler though.

There's at least one of those for sale in the US at the moment. There's someone over at ExpeditionPortal who took one on a trail ride in the recent past.

Here it is:

Being able to carry heavy or bulky loads, 4x4 Sprinters would make good expedition vehicles especially in open plains or desert areas....beyond that though there could be quite a bit of trouble. Even though the ground clearance is good you'll never get around the crazy long wheel base. That thing would be a seesaw every minute even over small hills unless you go crazy lifting it....and then off course you get all the nasty side effects of lifting....Then if your amongst the trees that super high room could easily become a problem. Gwagen or Unimog = Better option.

The exact one like in the picture would be just about perfect for driving around here in the winter months.

Excellent, poor man's Unimog in a sort of way. They make Tempo Traveler 4WD in India for special purpose.

I like! And it's big enough to haul my whole family, dogs included!

I wonder if anyone is still giving 0% interest, long-term ARM's for RV's?
