Tobacco brown 123 300td sighting in Lafayette

I saw this wagon this morning on the way back home after eating an early lunch at cracker barrell. Tobacco brown with a tri star on back missing its outer ring, roof rack with four wide looking tires tied on and third seat with small children in it....INdiana plate. Nice clean looking car with an enviable hitch on back.

I figured it was a good chance to be a sf member.

Anybody claim it?

..I also have a 427 Cobra replica with an aluminum chassis.

Tobacco is an interior color, not a exterior.

Paint color DB-423 is Tobacco Brown. I had a 68 200D in that color.

I believe that color was discontinued in the 70's, so it would be pretty rare on a 123. It was not a pretty color.

Oh, yeah, you're right. Tobacco brown is a non metallic color. The wagon in question was the dark metallic brown. I have had cars both colors now that you mention it.

I liked both colors, but I am a brown kindof fellow!
