The movie Downfall

Bought it and watched it on Saturday. Very intense movie about Hitlers' last days in the bunker. Wondered how much of it was factual, but believe most of the killings and suicides were pretty accurate. There was some REAL nasty stuff going down in those last days,,,,, a must see for anyone interested in the madman. The actor seems to have Hitler down to a T.

I rented it, and at first it appeared to be, well, I won't say anything else, other than I did enjoy it.
Those pistols, any idea?

I saw it several years ago. I was very impressed.

What exact part of the movie leads you to the impression that he actually was a madman? Just interested. It's been awhile that I have seen it.

I don't think so. But then again I don't remember all the details of the movie.

Yes,,,, "Someone stole Adolph Hitlers car". Laughed till I cried when I first saw that, then I started researching where that clip came from and turned up the movie. The movie takes any humor away from that scene.

combined injection of methaphetamine and cocaine for several years tends to make one a bit weird.

Are you referring to the movie Downfall or to another?

For how long do you think will American culture and society keep pandering away about the Hitler guy, before moving on?

Did you ever see "Triumph of the Will"?

Oh my,,, let me count the ways. Let me just say that almost every decision and statement he made in the last days had most of his Generals rolling their eyes and behind his back, saying he was crazy. His own hatred of the German civilians and his own Generals would classify him for a section 8 in our military. He made Captain Queeg [sp], look like a normal person.

According to all historical records, his decision making was wildly flawed all along throughout his Fuehrerdom, but what we're talking about here is still a movie.

Damfino. We still talk about Pericles and Julius Caesar. Some lessons are timeless.

Yep,,,, which brings me back to my original thought,,,, how much was fact ? I am VERY suspicious of conversations that were made between two people in private, when they are both dead.
