Anybody familiar with U-Verse TV service? In particular, I have a DVR that may need to be replaced. I have several shows recorded and I would like to save them, AT&T says they can't be transferred to a new box, but these boxes are just small computers. I know older DVR's were running some flavor of Unix and you could pull the hard drive out and transfer files pretty easily. U-Verse is actually running Windows (dumb) so I don't know if what I need to do is possible, at least without destroying the box, in order to get things plugged up.

Anybody ever dug into the guts of one of these?
