Motorcycle Insurance?

Well I've made the decision about my bike. It's a 1995 honda shadow ACE 1100. I'm keeping it for the following reasons. It has sentimenal value, it's too much fun to ride, gets too good of milage to not ride, powerful enough to keep me from wanting to trade up, chicks dig it, and it's not worth enough to sell...

I have called a few places for quotes, I'm doing 50k/100k bodily injury, 25k property damage, no comprehensive/full coverage/towing, Just liability only. Seeing as I live in Wisconsin, and cant ride half the year, some insurance companies are not taking that into effect with their rates... I'm 19, live at home, have my temps (MFS class to be completed in near future), good student, and military. I do have 1 speeding ticket from Marc 2007 for 61 in a 55.

So far I've gotten quotes from...
Esurance- 372/year
Gieco-340/year
Nationwide- 135/year
Progressive- 123/year
Leslie Kay- 183/year
and All state hasn’t gotten back to me yet
Obviously progressive is the cheapest, but I’m wandering, what other factors I should be looking for in an insurance company? I haven’t read any reviews on progressive or nationwide, but they do seem to be a fairly well known/recognized insurance agency.
Any recommendations from anyone? Are there other insurance groups out there that I should look into?
Tks
~Nate

I'd jack up my liability & bodily injury to 250/500 k. The increase is cheap.
Heaven forbid you have an accident with a passenger on the scooter with you? 100k can get eaten up real fast under bad scenarios for two people.
Also, does this cover you for un or under-insured motorists in Wisc? I'm sure there's a lot of them out there.

That big a bike will most often require 12 month coverage. Sucks to have a six month season. Move back to Texas.

Get a quote from Dairyland/Sentry too - they are a motorcycle specialist, and Wisconsin based to boot. http://www.dairylandcycle.com That said, I wouldn't expect to beat the Progressive/Nationwide quotes by much, if anything.

They were at $124 for said limits for the year...
Ten bux a month? Glad It's based on my outstanding credit score (BOYAH)
I am checking on the rate for a higher coverage.

Very nice to deal with also, the call center I talked to is about 5 mins from my home.

I insured my motorcycle with Geico. It was a 1976 Honda CB 550Four - $85.00 a year. Liability only.

Geico is the largest insurer of motorcycles in the country.

I just insured my 7+ ton 2002 diesel motorcoach with Nationwide.....for $320.00 a year.

Geico was $673.00 a year for the same coverage. Go figure!

Jack up your injury to at least $500k if not $1m. Take a good spill and hospital bills add up real fast.

I have $1m on my stuff.

I have been happy with Progressive. Easy to add/remove a car using their website and whenever you call the help desk they speak english that you can understand.
