Interesting list but all of those cases got dropped. I'd like to see the list of the most ridiculous lawsuits that have gone through. I seem to remember hearing one story about a guy who was awarded $150 million or something crazy like that because the dealer accidentally repainted his BMW.....(The $ ammount was later reduced.....)

I know about the heat part but I still say any dumb ass who puts a fast food style cup of hot liquid between their legs in a moving vehicle gets what's coming to them. If she had taken precautions such as a spill proof mug or something along those lines then I might see a case. As far as the rest of the list, I think number 6 takes the prize. How the hell do you kill someone on a bike and then have the balls to sue for auto damages? That seems to take a certain amount of gall.

Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where Kramer sues for the hot coffee incident.

Probably my ex-employer for one....some people just think that they are above the rest of the world and can do as they please without consequences.

These sorts of lists are almost always fraudulent. Given the way the introduction to this list begins, I suspect it is the same. Here's what the intro says: Quote:

The McDonald's coffee lady seems petty but she got 3rd degree burns from that. Does their coffee really need to 200 degrees hot? The one that gets me is #10. Guy pays the estate of some other "composer" a 6 figure sum because he ripped off the notion of silence? I'm curious about how such a "composer" has 6 figures he can cough up.
