Happy 100th Anniversary - MB Star

A star is born. A century ago, on June 24 1909, Daimler-Motoren-Gesellschaft officially registered the design of the Mercedes star as a trademark with the Imperial Patent Office.

Gottlieb Daimler drew this star on a postcard, hoping it would cast its blessing upon his work. His sons interpreted its points as symbolising engines used to propel vehicles on ground, water and in the air.

Not bad...but we still have to wait until 2026 for it to become 100 years of the star and the laurel

Speaking of stars has anyone seen the Silver Star we were going to try and get across America?

Somewhere in America there's a Mercedes star, sitting in somebody's dresser drawer, collecting dust.
