Denmark = Sports car country
Just back back from a awesome 10 day trip to Denmark. This is sports car country. Went to a family wedding in Zealand (the island home to Copenhagen) then traveled to Funen and then the largest part of Denmark, Jutland.
Partial list: German Mercedes: 300SL (W198 II) silver and beautiful, with top down and at speed on a country road W129 in convoy with an W107, an MGB and a Morgan in Skagan W107 W113 parked W111 convertible in everyday use being driven in Aarhus. R171 being driven in Slagelse Porsche: 911 Targa (early - mid seventies) Pre-911SC anyway. 996 in the streets of Copenhagen. BMW: Didn't spot any sports cars but I did see a E38 seven series with a manual transmission in one of the hotel's car park. British: MG: MGB at speed MG Midget at speed (so to speak) MGTF on a country road (wow) Morgan One red and one black. The classic style. Plus 4 or 8? USA Corvette C3 Stingray seven of them in line for the Aarhus to Zealand ferry. Packard (o.k. not a sports car but wow) 20 odd Packard's we bumped into by accident (not literally ![]() Plus we went to an incredible airplane museum in a rural part of western Jutland.
