anyone have a iphone clone? Ciphone or Hiphone?

I have been seeing these on Ebay, but they have been limited to low memory sizes. I have seen one now with a 16Gbyte cards and it is getting interesting. knowing the Chinese these are likely pretty close in look to the iphone, but anyone seen one or had one long term? I would buy an Iphone, but being locked to AT&T, who in the past treated me terribly, is not something I want to relive

x2.... I messed around on my friends iclone, and the OS was alot "rougher" than the iPhone OS....

Shop around for an iPhone. I bought an original iPhone 2G 8GB from a friend for $50... Unlocking it takes about 15-20 mins.

how hard is it to break one of the Iphones? I heard Apple can lock it up on you over the air

Very easy. Apple cannot lock OTA without an ATT sim in it.

I just moved back to Blackberry (8900) from the Tmobile Android G1, the main thing I need in a phone is email and battery life, if I talk on the phone and use data with the G1 my battery dies in a couple hours while I can survive a couple days with the BB.

Call your provider recently there have been many reports of bad batteries. Also give the phone a chance since we have the tendency to play with our new devices more than usual.

What model did you get?

E150GT has a BB Curve on Verizon.

I have been switching back and forth between a BB Storm and BB Bold.

Super easy to unlock. You run a program on your computer to build an unlocked copy of the iPhone software, and then you install it onto your phone. The 2G is the easiest of them all to unlock, whereas on the 3G you run into problems with baseband revisions, modem firmwares, and the unlock process making the phone get no service.

Apple cannot relock the phone OTA.
