*** Give me the money for the bridge and get your @55 outta' here! ***

I just got this from an acquaintence that's involved in the HC Industry...watch carefully and pay attention to the part where the Chairman is trying to silence the other representative...

This is what the "Healthsmear" Bill is all about...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SD_YOlUBoIk

Watch and listen carefully...and then decide if you still want goobermint keeping an eye on YOUR health...

Screw 'em.

How would you know? Is your HC Plan, right now, that bad? Who's keeping you in that plan? Your conscience?

Something is obviously wrong with the system....and examples like that are definitive proof.

Republicans would say "oust them all to the streets, if they want dialysis, they should find a job that gives them health care to cover it, or pay for it themselves!"

Nope...do the audits that are suppose to be done...this sounds like fraud, period...

And when the "fraudsters" are outted, they should be punished to the maximum allowed, and a judge should also have the levity to PUBLICALLY punish the bastards afterwards...

And, lets get real about this...WHY should it cost over $800/visit to sit in a chair for 4 hours and drain in/out?

Too many accountants sat around and "time-studied" this process to death...

My health care plan right now is called not having health care. I'm one of those 49 million Americans. Time for the public option.

A few years ago when I had stomach flu and had to go to the Emergency Room for extreme dehydration, I had to sit there waiting for a good 1.5 hours, to the point I nearly blacked out and was too weak to stand. When I first got there, they did not want to help me because I did not have my health insurance card on me. Eventually they finally treated me, and when the final bill came, it was over $1000...I was there maybe 3 hours max....all they did was a couple tests, and gave me a fluid IV for a little while to get me re hydrated.

Seriously. The costs are so out of control it has become a huge issue.

I'd be out of luck now if I had that happen. They'd probably let me die on the floor.

OK. You're making a choice. No one is forcing you...at least, right now...

In the "O" plan, you're in a plan, whether you want to be or not...and don't think for one second you're not putting any money towards it...it ain't free...even during the depression, apples cost money.

You're going to pay for it, one way or another.

And AFAIC, 49M uninsured...yeah, right...we have no control of our borders, we can't even keep our voting records straight...and we are suppose to believe that the goobers in boobermint can run something as complicated as determining what's what in healthcare?

Listen, I'd rather give YOU a flattened-out spoon and have YOU do an appendectomy on ME than wait 3 months for some minimum-waged employment-agency morning walk-in to decide if I qualify for a manicure to treat a hangnail when I need a bloody, bloated appendage removed before I die of toxic-shock.

WE don't need another boobermint agency formed out of the ooze that permeates the area within the beltway...we need common sense rules that need to be followed and enforced to stop the fraud and speed up resolutions...not another nanny-agency replacing a working model that shines to the whole world.

Boobermint NEVER has done anything better than Private Industry. Period.

And anyone that argues differently, is either a professor at a public university or is a professional gambler/liar...

I've been treated like crap in hospitals, with an insurance card and without (Yep, I was part of the great "unwashed" at one time). I pointed out the crappy "service" and told the AR (Account Recievable) folks that unless they want to spend more money on attorneys than they'll ever hope to collect on the bill they sent me for the crappy job, then go ahead and send the bill onto the collectors...it's stopped a few, and yes, I did have to go to SC Court to straighten out a few others...but like everything in life, you only get "rammed" only if you allow yourself to drop trow, grab your ankles and take it like a sheeple...

That's not my MO... ;)

...anymore!!! :thumbup1:

*** "And in this corner...oh...never mind...there's nothing there..." ***

Here's another aspect of Boobermint Healthcare To Come...

How many of you folks are anywhere near a Boobermint Indian Reservation?

Know any residents from those reservations?

And I'm not talking about the reservations that have multi-million dollar Casinos and such...I'm talking about the type of Indian Reservation that most of us grew up with in the 50s, 60s and 70s before gambling revenues started making it's way into their budgets.

Boobermint run healthcare there...barely...

That's just a pocket-book mirror look at what we should expect...

But hey, we'll fix the Indian Reservation problems when we start our own...

BS... :thumbsdow

Making a choice? If I could have/afford health coverage, I'd have it! I have no way of currently obtaining it short of finding a job that provides it, and that, too, is extremely difficult right now.

Obviously I'd pay for the "O" option. The idea is to have everyone pay, for an everyone included, system. Every other industrialized nation does it successfully, why not us?

If you don't want to believe how many people don't have insurance...go ahead...it doesn't mean that they are not out there.

People think that because the government is "running" or paying for health care, that you go into a doctors office and see a government worker....not the case. You see a DOCTOR. Just like anywhere else.

Our country needs a public option for health care, the current system will collapse on itself in due time anyways. Costs are climbing rapidly, for no good reason. Its called greed. And a system run by the private sector is concerned about profit and CEO pay, not the health of your average individual.

Majority in U.S. Favors Healthcare Reform This Year

Controlling costs a higher priority than expanding coverage

by Jeffrey M. Jones

PRINCETON, NJ -- As U.S. House leaders unveil a plan to reform the U.S. healthcare system, a USA Today/Gallup poll finds 56% of Americans in favor and 33% opposed to Congress' passing major healthcare reform legislation this year. Support for healthcare reform before the end of the year is sharply split along party lines, with 79% of Democrats in favor, compared with only 23% of Republicans.

You fix what's broke, you don't throw out a whole system because of the errors of a few.

Unlike most common-sensed folks, everyone else is jumping in-line for their first physical (or maybe not...now that they realize what's going on) and those that are, are not looking 5, 10, 15 years down the line, let alone even 'til next year, to see what the costs are going to be, let alone what a whole new boobermint organization, birthed behind the idea of compassion, but spawned from the bowels of control, is actually going to cost us.

But, if the swan-song/siren-call (pun intended) is too strong for those folks to see the danger they are getting themselves into, nothing said on this thread, let alone a mountain of evidence after the fact, is going to change their mind.

History is repeating itself, not being made for the first time.

The problem? Those that think it's being made will always refuse to heed the warnings (yes, warnings) from the historical perspective.

Boobermints NEVER do anything for the benefit of the many. They do it to keep themselves in power.

Our country was founded on principles and ideas foreign to the rest of the world. That is why folks COME to our country.

Why do WE want to lower ourselves back into the abyss of 3rd-Worldism?

I guess it's too hard to be a beacon to the rest of the world anymore.

However, I don't like being a loser. That's why I don't care for any of this plan, regardless the "compassion" that it's suppose to bring to the masses. All it's doing is replacing what's not broke with an unknown mass of boobercratic-level involvement in private matters.

If you're happy with the IRS's involvement in your finances, I'm willing to bet folks are just orgasmic over the thought that "O-Care" is coming down the pike.

"O-ON!"

Hey Chaz!

Using that logic...let's get the Boobermint to start up the Million-Dollar-People-Project!!!

Why not?

We'll have the Fed just print up real dollar bills and mail 'em out to anyone that filed a 1040 (of any type) during last year's tax season!!!! :thumbup1:

What the hell? It's guaranteed to help in the re-election of anyone that votes for it...financial responsibility be damned...we already are acting like pigs at the trough right now with those "CARS" and the "STIMULIS" packages that we have...let's just "mail the love" out to everyone and get rid of those that want the rest of us to use common sense and sensibilities where none, apparently, exists.

I'm all for it...besides, you just showed us...it's in the Constitution!

NOT!

The blog this thing is linked to just screams "nut case". This thing is full of lies and mischaracterizations, it's just a printed Tea Bag Birther Town Hall Screamer, but why is that a surprise in a campaign based on hate and lies. It is eviscerated here:

http://www.politifact.com/truth-o-meter/article/2009/jul/30/e-mail-analysis-health-bill-needs-check-/

Quote:

Most of what the e-mail says is wrong. In fact, it's a clearinghouse of bad information circulating around the Web about proposed health care changes, so we thought it would be helpful to address a bunch of its claims.

Quote:

We're hardened, battle-scarred fact-checkers, so false claims in e-mails don't really surprise us anymore. But we sent Tolbert a copy of the latest from our in-box, and she was none too pleased.
"It's awful," she said. "It's flat-out, blatant lies. It's unbelievable to me how they can claim to reference the legislation and then make claims that are blatantly false."
The claim that the bill provides free health care for illegal immigrants is particularly egregious, Tolbert said. "No one's provided with free health care. That's ridiculous," she said.
