What sort of expeditions do these trucks go on? The Sahara, a trip to Vladivostok or Cape Town?

Africa, Russia, Central Asia, China, Nepal?

I like the MAN trucks.. they look very capable, especially the 8x8's
those things must be pretty plentiful overthere and or easy to buy

The MAN trucks seem neat I especially like the way that that ladder and platform deploy on that tan one; The solar panels are a really cool idea too (Flat battery? Not a problem)

HOWEVER I like the setup of this one better because it moves the spare tire location and give you more cab space/storage options.









KERRY, on yours what is the deal with the space between the cab and the over hang from the back?

It's a storage area where I carry my boating gear. I also didn't want the camper to be a true cabover for a couple of reasons. It would be too high to fit in a shipping container and the cab would be unable to tilt.

Very cool. All of that makes sense. Besides you only need room to sleep what two or 3 people max?

I bought the truck with a service body and modified it for the camper. Yes, we have 3 max.

Again very cool. I'm not familiar with the Fuso, is it rear wheel drive only? In other words yours is mainly for the civilized United States as opposed to the wilderness of say Canada?

It's a Fuso FG 4wd. It's the only medium duty 4wd truck sold on every continent.

I'm working on buying a Discovery, call me when you drive through New England so I can take a look at it.

One day (Probably a good 10-15 years from now) I hope to have a true expedition vehicle. Most likely a G-Class with the chance of a Unimog camper.
