It's the tone of her voice...
...when she says: "OK, fine, just do what makes you happy..."
That tone that says: "No, I'm not interested in going with you to that car / truck / air / show / fly-in / GTG, etc... and I won't flat out TELL you that you can't go but I'm going to make sure you fell like hell the entire time you're there because you'll be thinking about me sitting home alone doing house work because we never do anything together..." "And be home early!" Me: "Never mind, I changed my mind, I wasn't really interested in going anyway..." Anyone else have to deal with that?

It took me three marriages to finally find one that DOESN'T do that. She even goes to the local junk yards with me searching for parts for our other vehicles.

Why do you have to be attached at the hip? You do your thing, she does her thing with her friends, and you meet for dinner. Works for my parents.
