w210 | mono-wiper

When detailing, I have come across the issue when I have lightly pulled up the wiper arm, and I hear a click, and the wiper arm locks into place, in an elevated position.

How do you release the wiper arm back down the windshield, without forcefully pushing back down on the wiper arm. Pushing back down is the only way that I've been able to lower it back down, but I feel like I'm going to break it. Fortunately to date, I have not damaged it, but I've alaways wanted to learn of the proper way to release the wiper arm back onto the windshield.

I think you're just supposed to push it back down, like you've been doing. That's how I do mine. I've looked and never found a release tab or anything like that...

Indeed, you just push it back down and there is no release tab.

The first time that I did it, I was sure that I was about to break something too.
