Not-so-Breitbart and the story of James O'Keefe

http://mediamatters.org/columns/201001290055
Back in September, right-wing activist James O'Keefe told Fox News host Glenn Beck that he was "willing to serve prison time" for his work.
That just may happen....

He Was Checking to Make Sure Phones Were Working, That's All

I decided to investigate why a representative of the people would be out of touch with her constituents for "weeks" because her phones were broken. In investigating this matter, we decided to visit Senator Landrieu's district office – the people's office – to ask the staff if their phones were working.

That's his story, and we'll see if he's sticking to it.

O'keefe was on Hannity last night. Claims it was all a big misunderstanding. http://weblogs.baltimoresun.com/entertainment/zontv/2010/02/james_okeefe_the_comic_book_ne.html

"Hannity never went to law school, but he skillfully obtained from O'Keefe concessions that there is a "big different" between entering an ACORN office and entering a United States Senator's office and that O'Keefe entered Senator Landrieu's office under false pretenses."

If he were a Democrat, Hannity would be demanding that he be waterboarded.

Watching the right wingers martial themselves to defend law breakers, what a trip from "Law and Order" Republicans. Talking to a lawyer friend of mine, he said 1) The were in disguise 2) They lied in an attempt to gain entry 3) They actually gained entry 3) They were apprehended in the act of trespass with telecommunication equipment. The prosecution really doesn't need to present much more than that to send these guys away. O'keefe, the sniveling little publicity whore, is also a stupid man, he would be wise to keep his mouth shut, instead he's playing it up on Hannity. What an idiot.

I think he is playing the 'It will be impossible to pick a jury that has not heard this story' game.

Would you like to be tried by people that never watch the news and are so isolated from the world they cannot tell you what month it is?

Still, being caught red-handed leaves him with few options. unless he can posion the Jury pool he has little chance of going free.

Sounds like a great American to me!

Makes you wonder what the senator has to hide?
