I've been having a bad couple of weeks dealing with the prima donnas in my school as well as the daily grind of work.

However I had a couple of compliments about my car that come every now and then that put a smile on my face.

This past weekend I decided to take my car down to the car wash to flush off the growing amount of salt on her. I ended up sinking 10 dollars worth of quarters into the stupid spray machine, but it did the job. On my back I parked my car outside of my building to grab a towel to dry the car off and this small corolla pulled up with 5 kids in it.

One of them rolled down the window and said, "Hey, nice car dude."

Yesterday, I was with a bunch of people and we all started talking about our cars to which the girlfriend announced, "Adam drives a benz!" So I explain my car and it's year and two of the guys there responded, "The diesel?! I love that car!"

And finally I meet this graduate student who laughed and said that my poor car won't be going anywhere fast (his dad owned a 240D). I just laughed it off and said I can keep up with the hills around Cornell just fine!

I love how the comments just come and go. I'm happy I took the time and spent the money on bringing this car back to life.

I work with several young college students and most of them think my car is pretty cool. They are quite amazed when I tell them the car is older than they are. It puts a smile on my face as well and that is one of the reasons I keep it.
