A journalist suffers a little for his profession and gets waterboarded.

Huh....I never realized that is how it is done. Don't know if I consider it "torture"....but its certainly not a pleasant thing!

Thing is, if the criminals they do it to would just talk to begin with, they'd not be put through it....so its essentially their own decision to have that happen.

The subject might say anything to get out of torture. In fact Sheik whatsisname copped to just about everything except killing JFK during his session.

True that it may lead to innacurate information or falsely incriminating ones self.

unless of course you tell the complete truth or really dont know and the interrogator doesnt believe you. its the interrogators choice, not the suspect.

Well, if you want to wait for totally accurate information, gather the information AFTER THE FACT. Yes, you do get some inaccurate information and you can follow up on it and see. However, if it yields some good information, it is better than no information or late information. By the time you extract it from the subject, if the even is past, is it worth much?

Hmmm, so thats waterboarding. Thats "torture" by our definition now? What a F*&#ing joke. Damned good thing I ain't running the show. The Gestapo would look like choirboys compared to what I would do to them. They're animals, treat them like it.

You think they are nice to our people, or anyone else for that matter, just 'cause we stopped "torturing" them?

(also, for the record, many people arrested are later found innocent, even among those at "gitmo".

My "MY" definition, THEY are:
-Anyone who harbors terrorism
-Anyone who is even remotely involved in terrorism
-Any country that is harboring or involved in terrorism
Now I understand you will reply with some liberal blather, I've read your posts, so don't bother. You are not changing my mind. Its simply how I would do it, your conjecture is not needed. If I could kill every last one of "THEM", I would, and if some innocents were sucked up into it, well so be it. You can put me down in the history books for it too. If it makes me a bad guy, so be it.

So some water is poured on "their" faces, boo hoo, SFW? Its nothing, not even close to what "they" do to their own, and anyone else.

The "WE" in this case would be the US Govt interrogators.
