What other classic cars do you own/collect?

Here's a group pic from a few years back, Blue one is the only one around still. For those who care: they are parked in chronological order: 61 Vert, 66 Hardtop,74 Hardtop (non-super )

What do you own multiples of besides the MBZ?

I use to own a 1959 Nash Metropolitan,my friends use to ask me what kind of engine was in the Nash. I told them it was a Vette engine. In reality it was a CheVETTE engine.

I had a '69 IH Scout 800A that I just didn't have the time and funds to do right. When I finally have some money I will have another Cornbinder; be it a pickup, Travelall or another Scout; that won't need nearly as much work.

None yet. I plan to get a Volkswagen Westfalia. I'm considering a Baywindow but a mid to late 80's camper would be awesome as well.

I thought the concept was cool but mine was a major pain in the ass. I had it for about 60 days and pulled the engine 3 times. The first time was to replace the head gaskets (technically water jacket seals). Then I realized the head was cracked, so I spent $1,000 on a new set of heads. Started it up and one of the exhaust valves broke in 3 seconds. That was one of the brand new GoWesty heads. Third time was to replace the bad head.

You can R/R the heads with the engine in place but I liked the security of knowing the cylinder o-rings were correctly installed, which I found difficult to do with the engine in the car. The good news is that it only takes about 60 minutes to pull the engine.

Sorry for the post but I saw your post and had flashbacks. I still wish I had it and done the Ford Zetec conversion but I couldn't see myself dropping another dime into it.

Unfortunately I don't have the space to have a little collection. I tried, but to many parking tickets put a stop to it. During summer time we have red-flag days where I live; this means that with out warning "someone" decides that there is a fire danger in my area. Resulting in $60.- parking tickets if you didn't move your car...gets pricey pretty fast.

I'm afraid I don't have any real pics right now. They're waiting for restoration so they look kind of crappy...

i had my delorean, I miss it everyday. It was just the coolest thing to see in my driveway.

But when I am out of school I want to build my collection. My taste is mainly old ACVW's in all forms, slammed, cal-look, restored, rat,23 delix buses, split window busses.. Fatties get no love from Don, etc. I just have a thing for dubs. That and mercedes and my dream/goal in life is to own a Ferrari. A 308 GTS will do but I will own an F car one day.. if not then I'll have another delorean and a crap ton of vw's.
