...... that I'm not wandering around southeast Asia with a sign on my back that reads "Me so horny!" but, sometimes I wonder.

She who was Lacking in Undergarments, as proven Thrice in the first 37 seconds of our "relationship" (hereinafter referred to as SLUT for simplicity): "You buy me dinner, and I can make you happy."

Me: "Excuse me?"

SLUT: "Dinner plus a little extra and I can take you anywhere you want to go."

Me (with silly arse lightbulb now fully illuminated above me thick skull): "The only place I want to go is home to my dearly beloved and desperately missed wife."

SLUT: "She's not here. I am. I can make you less lonely."

Me: "Get the f*** away from my dinner table."

SLUT: "I'm good. Really good."

Me: "Leave. Now."

SLUT departs.

Seriously? I have now been propositioned in four different countries. I have NEVER gone looking for 'companionship' - doesn't interest me in the least. WTH do they keep coming after me?

It's not like this was some ungawdly ugly skank - this was a very attractive young lady, with, in retrospect, a very nicely proportioned set of northern assets (the southerly assets were perfectly attractive as well, except that I'm not a huge fan of the hardwood flooring look). But, honestly - sex, to me, isn't about banging whatever is available. If there ain't some emotion, I'm just not interested.

I dunno. Maybe I'm old fashioned. Maybe I'm just old. I want to make love to my wife, not nail some woman I wouldn't know from Eve.

Sounds like you looked good enough (well dressed, not likely to beat her, and maybe had a bath in the last 48 hrs) to meet her price point and not be any more of an unpleasnt experience than necessary in her business. In other words, way above normal pickings. She's just making cold calls of a sort. It is sad that women have to resort to that business, but I suppose some have no other option. And for the record, I'm with ya on the emotional connection. Some guys look at it differently, and I guess that's their choice and their business.

When I worked in NYC I made friends with a few working girls - we ate at the same cheap places. Once they realize you are not a client they can be pretty cool...

You have a point. My write up of the events surely plays into my wrapping her up in a stereotype - guilty as charged.

Counter to that, and what got me steamed in the first place - is the other side of the stereotype coin. The young lady, and the hotel staff (there were knowing glances and hand signals exchanged between the restaurant manager and the young lady as she left - reasonably certain he called her in "on my behalf") ASSUMED I was interested in a 'date' - likely based on a stereotype of the 'typical' male - always on the prowl. Been putting up with that since high school - not my style, thank you very much.

This is Malaysia. Sex is illegal if you're not married. Period. Punishments handed out to a non-Malay person can be quite harsh (drugs in your bag? death penalty is a real possibility). No way I'd risk seeing the inside of an Ipoh prison, even if I were inclined to dip the wick outside of wedlock.
