Congrats to Brock. I wanted to watch the fight but we were at my parents' cabin for the weekend. We thought about driving into a bar but decided against it. Actually the cabin was probably about 30 miles away from where Brock lives.

I almost wrestled him one time. I am the same age as Brock. I was redshirting at 190lbs for my college and the HWTs didn't pan out so they decided to pull me out of redshirt to wrestle HWT for the season. I wreslted HWT and 189 in high school so I did fairly well but I only weighed in at about 206 lbs. Brock was on the opposite side of the bracket as me. I lost in the semifinals and came back for third. If I would have won my semis match I would have wrestled him in the finals. He was only about 225 back then but I remember his traps were HUGE!

Funny story my dad told me this weekend. He was talking to someone who told him Brock stopped into a liquor store in Alexandria (Brock's home is just outside of this town which is fairly near to my parents' cabin) and did not have a shirt on. One of the patrons turned to the employee and said "Don't you have to have a shirt on to be in here?" The employee stated back "I'm not going to tell him to put a shirt on, you can if you want."

Wouldn't want to meet him in a dark alley! Guy is huge!
Say, was that a knee to the nuts there?

Good stories - yeah I wouldn't want to be the one to have to boot him out of a liquor store.

In regards to the fight, no normal human could survive that 1st round pummeling, so I suppose they'll have a rematch...

My 'homeboy' lost but I had a feeling that it would go that way - congrats Brock - hopefully I'll see that fight eventually on SPIKE...
