Lovebugs!!

It's lovebug season here in FL... the house is covered in them and my car is just dotted with their guts. I am glad I always put two layers of wax on the nose of the car. but damn my windshield is hard to see out of!

We have a locust plague on its way here in Southern Australia. They are predicting all sorts of doom. Maybe even the Melbourne cup & other horse race meetings being canceled. Time to get out the fly wire for the front of the car. The yellow goo from the squashed locusts blocks radiators quick.

I'd never heard of a "lovebug" before I moved to Texas, a co-worker from Louisiana briefly mentioned them and it sounds like it sucks having them around... What's the point of them? Do they do anything productive or do they just hit windshields and car nose's 24/7? I wonder of we get them in Texas? hope not...

I have fun vacuuming up lady bugs in the spring and fall. Those bastards reek if you squash them or even pick them up.

At least they eat other insects.
